Shimanek Covered Bridge

As I was coming back from my sisters house yesterday, I decided to check out Shimanek Covered Bridge, just east of Scio, Oregon. It was quite nice, although I would have liked it if the sun was out so I could pull off the side of the road and get pictures from the side of the bridge.

What caught my attention even more was the next few miles past the bridge. With cows, hills and dips, and plenty of trees, it reminded me of Polk County Wisconsin (where some of my relatives live). Someday when the weather is a little better I will have to go back and get pictures when I have time to stop along the road. I also think the bridge would look great photographed when the trees are full of color in late October.
