Driving through Linn County, I came upon several old barns. While each of them needed some repair, they had the kind of character that you don't see in most new barns.
I don't often see two old farm building this close to each other.
On the way back, I stopped at the unincorporated town of Jordan. it really wasn't much of anything other than a few farms. Along the south side is Thomas Creek. Apparently there used to be a covered bridge across the creek at this spot, but it has been replaced with a more modern bridge. Just upstream is a series of rapids coming from what looks to be the remnants of an old dam.
I didn't have time to take a picture on the bridge from outside my car.
As a kayaker who has kayaked part of the Rouge River in Southern Oregon, it definitely looks like a fun run. For any of you kayakers out there that want to see a video, click here:
